2019 Pride Reception at the Blaine House

This June, we were honored to host the first-ever Pride Reception during Pride month at the Blaine House with Governor Janet T. Mills. We presented Governor Mills with a 2019 EQME Pride t-shirt and she surprised the crowd by signing LD 1701 into law, thereby adding a definition of gender identity to Maine’s nondiscrimination laws and requiring that all single-occupancy public restrooms be designated as gender-neutral.
