Downeast Pride Festival

The Downeast Rainbow Alliance is pleased to be hosting Downeast Pride 2019! We will be hosting a film festival, ice cream social, and dance party! All events are free. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday June 20 (UMM Performing Arts Center:
6:00 PM: “From Selma to Stonewall: Are We There Yet?” with a discussion to follow. This 2016 documentary explores the intersection between the civil rights and LGBTQ equality movements.
Friday June 21 (UMM Performing Arts Center):
6:00: “Pride” In this 2014 film, London-based LGBTQ+ advocates lend their support to striking miners in 1984 Wales
8:00: “The Miseducation of Cameron Post.” In this Sundance Film Festival 2018 winning film, a teenage girl is forced into a conversion therapy camp.

Saturday June 22 (Eastport Arts Center):
3:00-5:00: Ice Cream Social
Live Music by Beach Trash band
Youth Door Prizes
Little Chair Printing’s Mobile Printing Press

Saturday June 22 (Eastport Chowder House Pier)
6:00-9:00: Dance Party featuring DJ Boston Bob
50/50 Raffle
Drink Specials/Cash Bar
