What is the New Leaders Project?

The New Leaders Project is EqualityMaine’s LGBTQ+ youth programs in Maine, designed to empower the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders and allies. This dynamic youth leadership program helps create a safer, more inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ young people across the state.

Through the New Leaders Project, LGBTQ+ youth and their allies come together to build community, develop leadership skills, and foster personal growth. Participants engage in hands-on learning experiences focused on interpersonal communication, LGBTQ+ history, advocacy, and self-empowerment.
